July 7th.  Presenter Cathleen Wizgird,  Freedom House advocate will present "Violence & the Media".  the effects of over-consumption of media violence, including the concept of desensitization.  The presentation will discuss the relationship between profit motive and corporate entertainment decision-making, and developing strategies to keep children safe. Presented by Cathleen Wizgird

July 14th.  "Internet Safety."  Safety rules regarding keeping oneself and children safe when making use of the internet.  discussions include password protection, our ID, protection of personal information, identity theft, safety precautions, dangers associated with posting photographs, social network sites and the reality of internet predators. Presented by Cathleen Wizgird.

July 21st.  "Bullying"  Recognizing bullying behaviors and the effects of these behaviors on children - both as targets and as bullies.  topics of self-esteem, empathy, peer power and the development of non-violent positive strategies for coping with bullying will be explored.
